Okay, I was on edge for like half of the episode. In the previous review, I said I was expecting the battle to be exciting and I wanted to see cool powers. Needless to say, I got my wish. Most of the episode, I was just holding my breath because of how cool everything is but also because I kept expecting them to one-up each other with something newer and cooler.

Naofumi decided to go with the Curse Series, which is always cool. We also got a lot more flashbacks during him trying to stay in control rather than letting the Dragon in him take over. He somehow did that, but it was after that, during the final push in the battle, it got really great. The battle was epic. I expected them to have to hold out until the cavalry arrived, but no, they managed to win basically without the Queen’s help. She did help out a little just before the finishing blow, but I’m not sure how much of that was actually help; it just confused the Pope a little. Speaking of Pope, he got what he deserved.

I expected it to be exciting but I was definitely blown away with the fight. The animation makes it look really epic. The reconciliation between the heroes and all of them properly working together with each other was also pretty cool to see. Even Naofumi humbled himself and went from the attitude he had in the previous episode to literally asking them to help him. Now, we finally get to have a proper encounter with the Queen, who did come at the very last moment.

With each episode, we are approaching the end of the show; we are only 5 episodes away from that moment. As much as I am excited for the next episode, I do feel slightly anxious at it coming to a close very soon. I’m hoping they announce the second season really quickly. But I should keep that for the review of the final episode instead of talking about it here. Nothing more to say than that I can’t wait to see the next episode.
