After a very strong and action-packed episode, we get a breather, an episode not as epic but still quite interesting. It brings us quite a few nice and deserved moments, both comedic and serious, and both of those are thanks to the new character that just got introduced.
As the party is going back to the capital to try and get some holy water, they meet a girl with dark blue hair dressed in mostly dark blue, talking to giant birds, the same species as Filo, just not ones that can talk and transform into an angel loli. The girl turns out to be Melty, some young noble girl that needs to go to capital and asks Naofumi to take her with the party, since they are going to the same destination.
Melty is cute and seems to have a thing for birds, so much so that it ends up causing a pretty funny scene with Filo. But, of course, Filo herself is also very fun and often funny, so it’s no surprise. Even later on in the episode, when a minor conflict with the Spear Hero occurs and Myne tries to be her usual self, Filo is able to turn the scene comedic and also makes a throwaway to the race between him and Naofumi a couple episodes back.
There isn’t as much to talk about this episode as there was last episode since this was a more laid back slice-of-life kind of episode that I was expecting the previous one to be. Although there were some things I could talk about, I would prefer not to spoil them, as not much of it was technical in nature (such as a new ability, for example). That does not, however, mean that the episode was bad, by any means. I enjoy these episodes just as much as I do ones that are epic like the previous one was, which is why I do genuinely look forward to seeing the next episode. See you then!
