Get used to this face. lol

What kind of journey do you think you’d have during the end of the world? After society has evolved and died, and the world has forgotten much of history, how would you go about travelling the world? After humanity has destroyed itself or left the planet, what type of adventure would you have? What would you find or do? Yuuri and Chito were born into such a world. Have a look at their journey with Girls’ Last Tour.

To Tal’Doray! Wait… where?

Girls’ Last Tour was a ride and I don’t just mean the fancy motorbike thingy, either. From the art direction to the storyboarding and sound design, Girls’ Last Tour really delivers on the feeling of being some of the last humans on Earth. I don’t want to spoil, but the story is very well told and somewhat ‘slice-of-life’-ish. As Chito and Yuuri go wherever the wind blows them, their interactions with each other steadily reminded me of Amber and Marina from Highway Blossoms. Even though they were vastly different in personality values, they got along well and had a super good synergy to them.

Synergy, eh?

In addition, the English dub was excellent. I first watched about half of Girls’ Last Tour a couple months ago via HIDIVE, but with the English dub now available on the Blu-ray, I decided to rewatch in English and I am glad that I did. Cat Thomas as Chito and Juliet Simmons as Yuuri did an amazing job in portraying their characters and side characters weren’t done half-assedly either. The audio balance between the BGM, SFX, and dub was perfect on both discs. I truly enjoyed watching and listening to this series.

Signing-off, Captain!

Overall, I greatly recommend Girls’ Last Tour. The feel of the show is amazing. It’s post-apocalyptic, but relaxed and soothing. For the price of $69.98 USD on the Sentai Filmworks store (currently discounted to $45.99 at time of writing), I say go for it. You get the dubbed and subbed version as well as a story with plenty of rewatch value. In addition, if you simply can’t wait any longer after reading this, you can watch it via HIDIVE, right now.

Lolinia gives Girls’ Last Tour a Drastik Moé measure of 9.0 out of 10.0 (90).
