Slain! PC Review by LumpDizzle666
Genre: Action, Indie
Developer: Wolf Brew Games Publisher: Digerati Distribution
Release Date: Mar 24, 2016
Slain! is an Action Platformer. Originally, Slain! was listed on its Steam page as a metroidvania, but no longer, it is now listed as an Action Platformer. Not a great sign if you ask me.

Let’s start with the best thing about this game: ART! The art and graphics for Slain! are some of the best pixels I have seen. From the characters, to the blood splatter, and everything in between or around there is no doubt that the art is beautiful. Let your eyes be treated to the pixel wonderment that is Slain!

Another fantastic thing about Slain! is the music. The heavy metal music in Slain! is great. Its intensity feeds into the game and fits so well with the amazing art. The one problem with the music is that there are only a few tracks, and before too long you get tired of listening to them. The audio outside the music is pretty mediocre and the sound effects are pretty plain.

The gameplay is terrible, to be honest. Slain! is hard. I like challenging games but not if it is because the game is just not built properly. The controls do not respond well, it feels as if there is input lag. You press a button and wait for the corresponding action to happen. This is a very bad thing in an action platformer and gets you killed a lot.

The enemies are boring and and seem to have very little work put into their AI. Really not more to say about them.
LumpDizzle666 DOES NOT recommend Slain!, as I really did not like playing it. The art and few great music tracks just do not make up for everything else about the game.

Pro
The art is amazing
The music is a heavy metal treat to the ears
Con
The controls are unresponsive and laggy
The lack of tracks has the great music getting old and annoying
The enemy AI is pretty terrible
…Basically everything else

LumpDizzle666 gives Slain! a Drastik Measure 4 out of 10 (40)
