Well, this was definitely a much less action-based and lighter episode. It was not quite as lighthearted as I was expecting, but it definitely had some of those moments. Very enjoyable to finally have one episode like this after quite a few very high stakes episodes. As I expected, it was about Filo, but not quite as focused on her as it was focused on introducing the Filolial Queen herself and explaining the reason she had decided to help Naofumi’s party against that monster that got summoned last episode.
Due to it being one of those more relaxed episodes, we get quite a bit more backstory on some things and some nice developments. Filolial Queen lets us know how the 4 Cardinal Heroes are actually supposed to each fight for a different country’s safety rather than all of them being concentrated in Melromarc like they are, as well as that it’s absolutely not allowed for the Heroes to bicker amongst themselves. Speaking of heroes, Bow and Sword Heroes are on a good track to becoming much more interesting, as they have properly started to suspect the Church and Myne.
Due to it being less of an intense episode than usual, I don’t have too much to say about this episode, either, but it was obviously a cool episode with some nice progression and development happening and a very interesting new character being introduced. The ending was also quite a nice hook and makes me look forward a lot to the next episode. See you next week!
