Okay, that was quick. Not only did the episode do exactly what I was hoping would happen, even if it did not go all the way, but we also got another look at his Curse Series power and learn a bit more about it. Of course, the episode was pretty good and definitely did not disappoint, the Wave was pretty cool to see, the fight and everything was nice.
The episode starts with Naofumi and his party getting teleported and then defending a town from the Wave monsters. Then, they move on to fighting, what is basically the boss fight due to the other heroes taking too much, and when he gets there, all of them are in disarray. The fact that they can’t get their shit together and that he had to step in was pretty satisfying, as was the part where he almost single-handedly managed to win them the day.
As I said, we get another look at the Curse Series and it seems like it gives Naofumi powers based on what he fights while using the powers, such as the zombie dragon he fought and then consumed. For a moment there, he had not only a different shield form but also some sort of dragonic armor parts form around his shoulders. It reminded me a bit of High School DxD, but even though we got some more info and got to see the power in action once again, we didn’t learn too much about it. However, there was an epic attack he made on the big boss, which I won’t spoil here.
Then, we get to see the girl who was smiling at the end of the last episode, find out her name is Glass and that she is indeed evil, or at least an enemy of the heroes. Definitely has some sort of a connection to the Waves and due to her showing up, the Wave is still going on. I can’t wait to see the conclusion of that fight and if you want to see my thoughts about it, you should join me in my next review. See you there!
