This week’s episode is just as I suspected: an episode that focuses on introducing Filo. I must say Filo is adorable and makes the episode so much more lightheartedly fun and even funny. It was definitely a cool episode.
As you know, at the end of the last episode, we got to meet Filo and she is a loli. Yay! A new loli to compensate for Raphtalia growing up so quickly. Naofumi definitely isn’t a lolicon! On a more serious note, her cuteness does cause some funny moments, which is the first time since the start of the show that we seem to have those moments and is the first time I actually genuinely smiled or laughed while watching it. I’m very glad that we get this kind of stuff at last.
We also have Naofumi looting bandits, which was a nice little twist, Raphtalia being cool, getting Filo new magic clothes, so she doesn’t rip up her clothes every time she transforms, and a new nickname for Naofumi due to his recently acquired fame as he keeps going around healing old people. If the title of the next episode is anything to go by, the next episode will focus on that nickname and on him being a celebrity doctor or something.
It’s great we are going much more lighthearted, and I hope this lasts for a while, but, at the same time, it would be bad if the rest of the season is constantly just like that. All in all, not much to say for this episode, as there were no big and serious moments or developments, but it was still a very enjoyable episode. I do definitely look forward to seeing how Naofumi’s new nickname is handled.
