In episode 7, we continue the rather lighthearted story arc that started with episode 5. I would even consider this episode to be the most lighthearted yet, with practically nothing of any great importance happening. However, that’s not a bad thing; if anything, it makes the show more fun, like I said previously. If I’m correct in assuming that they will split the series into 4-episode arcs, then we should be closing in on the ending of this, with the next episode. It wouldn’t be a bad time, if they do that.
The episode does, indeed, explore the new nickname a bit better in this episode and we see Naofumi helping out a village that has a problem with parasitic giant plants, but other than that, it’s mostly just a slice-of-life episode, with Raphtalia and Filo competing for Naofumi’s attention, Raphtalia being annoyed and cute, Filo being just cute, and so on. As I already said, nothing important really “happened” in this episode, which is why there isn’t much of a point in talking about the plot a whole lot, but as someone who enjoys slife-of-life, I had fun with that.
Obviously, I wouldn’t want it to be so low on important things happening for too long, and I hope that the next episode is the ending of this arc and we get some more plot-relevant stuff in the arc after it. But, in general, it was a very enjoyable and laid back episode (and an enjoyable one at that), so I do look forward to the next one.
