As we enter the fourth episode of The Promised Neverland, our story is going strong, and with the mystery still lurking in the shadows, trust is given to Don and Gilda to carry the secret. But with the idea of a mole lurking about, how much can you really trust someone? This episode takes that focus and turns it on its head.

The focus, once again, does a split, going between Norman, Emma, and Ray, as they reach out to others for help, with a lesser focus on Sister Krone and her attempts to advance her goal discovered in the previous episode. This episode did add some new characters to our watch list, mainly in the form of Gilda and Don, who, while we do not know what side they lie on yet, I am going to keep my eye on in future episodes.

In every report, I try and talk about something about the show that impresses me, with this week being the intro and outro songs. I do not generally focus on intros or outros as a main thing, but the songs used in The Promised Neverland are pop-based and bring this essence of focus around the three main characters, as well as their determination. It fits the anime nicely and shows an understanding the writers had.

My favorite part of this episode was bringing in two characters, Don and Gilda, whom we have seen since the start technically, take a main role. As to where it will lead, I am curious and hope future episodes expand upon these two.

As a whole, episode four of The Promised Neverland keeps the mystery focus, with a good amount of character development with the main characters, especially at the end of the episode and leaves me wondering where that point will lead.
